Warrior Teams Represent SMHA in Guelph
Submitted By Matthew Smyth on Monday, November 25, 2019
Three SMHA teams participated in this past weekend's Guelph Power Play Tournament with one team bringing home the cup!

This past weekend the Royal LePage - Hiller Realty Minor Peewee Rep, Perth Auto Dismantlers Atom Rep and the Holloway Automotive Minor Atom Rep teams were on the road in Guelph. All three SMHA teams played well in round robin games advancing to semi-final games.

The Minor Peewee Rep team lost a nail-biting decision in their semi-final matchup against the hometown Guelph Gryphons while the Atom Rep team were unable to advance against a strong North Durham team. The Minor Atoms were the only SMHA team to advance to the finals and after 35 minutes of back and forth action, overtime was required to decide a winner. Only 51 seconds of 3 on 3 action was required with Stratford winning in dramatic fashion!

Congratulations to all three teams on successful weekends!
