Pickering scores 5 to lead Warriors to 8-2 win

Stratford Warriors Canadian Tire Major Bantams defeated Woodstock 8-2 Sunday night in game two of their semi-final series. Blake Pickering led the charge with 5 goals, two of them while his team was shorthanded.  Cody Gosselin picked up a goal and two assists, Andrew Bogdon with a goal and an assist and Zach Pacheco with the opening goal of the game.  Jacob Kompf and Ryan Ridley and Mark Schmidt had two assists each,  John Bice, Joe Gioia and Drew Goebel with an assist each. The Warriors outshot Woodstock 27-23. With back to back wins, Stratford now have 4 points in the 6 point series. Game 3 is scheduled for Wednesday night 8:15 p.m. at the Rotary Complex.
