Boundary Changes for Local Travel Minor Hockey
Submitted By Laurie Cossey on Monday, August 1, 2011
In 2010 the Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) put forth a motion to relax its current boundaries to allow increased movement of players upward; they have since ratified their motion. The motion passed unanimously.

In 2010 the Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) put forth a motion to relax its current boundaries to allow increased movement of players upward; they have since ratified their motion. The motion passed unanimously.

The basis of the motion essentially states that all players that reside in centre’s of “A” and below classification, will no longer be denied their right to seek a suitable development opportunity at a higher level category of play.  At their own discretion, these players will be allowed to tryout at higher levels than their present home centre offers.

Stratford (SMHA Minor Peewee through Minor Midget seeded teams, inclusive) could allow three (3) players from OMHA B and BB Centres and below under the new "Made for Ontario" Plan. For further clarification please review the following documents:
