Proper off-ice conditioning is essential for young hockey players looking to maximize their potential.  New this year, SMHA will be offering an Off-Ice Conditioning Program for all players Atom through Midget.

Each team will participate in 20 sessions throughout the season (one per week).  Depending on schedules, sessions will be held before or after practices and may vary throughout the season.  Players are encouraged to participate; the benefits of off-ice conditioning are being realized in hockey around the world.  The cost of this program is included in your SMHA fees.

Sessions will be run by Mike Martin of Blueline Athletics — he will work closely with SMHA players, developing key area’s such as agility, speed, balance, flexibility and strength in safe and age appropriate manner.  This training will serve as the foundation for our young athlete's budding careers!
