Select MD Teams to Play in MD East/Central Loop
Submitted By Laurie Cossey on Tuesday, July 5, 2016
SMHA President, Dan Jackson formally filed a request with the Alliance last week regarding the movement of some MD teams to the East/Central loop.

The Alliance, working with SMHA to help boost its MD program, has agreed to move the Major Atom MD, Minor Peewee MD and Minor Bantam MD teams to the East/Central loop. MD teams are tiered in the East/Central loop and should provide more suitable competition for our teams. The Novice programs and the Minor Atom MD program will remain in the West loop.

The change will come into force this season, 2016-2017 and will be reviewed in subsequent seasons.

With the change, SMHA hopes to play in more meaningful games and create a better environment for player development.
