Get ready for some Warrior hockey...

The Stratford Rotary Complex will be host to 15 local Stratford Minor Hockey teams and their opponents for the 8th Annual Warrior Day on Saturday October 1, 2016.

The fun filled annual event has wall-to-wall games from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm that will see close to 500 players from home and away, come and go over the course of the day.  Games will take place at both the Molson and RBC pads throughout the day.

All Warriors will be presented T-Shirts, sponsored by DJ Jackson and Jiffy Lube, and there will be a food drive with donations going to the House of Blessing. Last year, during Warrior Day, the generosity of the hockey community on Warrior Day helped SMHA donate 450 pounds of food to the House of Blessing.

Stratford Warrior Jr. B players will also be on hand from 12:30 until 2:00 pm to sign autographs, and Dunny’s Sports will have Warriors merchandise available.

Players and their families can also attend one of our "Concussion Prevention and Management" information sessions on Warrior Day presented by Dr. Trish Van Boekel.  There is no charge to participate and all are encouraged to attend, listen in and ask questions.  There are two sessions open for players and their families:  11am and 12:45pm.  Both will be held in Room 136 and all are welcome.

This is a great opportunity to come out and watch some very entertaining and competitive hockey, and is an exciting time for both the players and coaching staffs. It gives the players and their families an opportunity to get out and cheer on their fellow Warriors.

Admission is free, but for those planning to attend, please bring a non-perishable food item.
