Warriors win Game One in Alliance Finals
The 'Canadian Tire' Major Bantam's won 3-1 over the London Bandits to win the first game of the Alliance Playdown Finals. Stratford opened the scoring in the first period when Will Marcy banged in a rebound with assists going to Josh Hill and Liam Kelly. London tied the game on a power play goal to even the game. Late in the second Brady Lauze picked up a face off win and drilled a low shot past the London goalie to give the Warriors a 2-1 lead assisted by Evan Metelski. In the third period, Metelski picked up a block shot inside the London end and scored high to give Stratford the lead which they would hold. Stratford goaltender Ryan Van Dam made big saves late in the game to secure the win. Game two shifts to London on friday night.
