Carnegie scores winner to oust Kitchener.
Stratford Warrior Canadian Tire Bantams won their quarter final series in Kitchener Sunday afternoon. The Warriors late game goal with only 42 seconds left on the clock edged the Jr. Rangers 3-2 and won the series 6 points to 4. Kitchener was ahead by a goal twice in the game but the Warriors kept coming back. Parker Gibbings scored to tie it a one each assisted by Andrew Maguire, Brent Stelmachuck, then Dean Jackson tied it at 2-2 midway through the third assisted by Brayden Carnegie and Parker Gibbings. In the final minute Brayden Carnegie scored on a pass from Dean Simons to win it 3-2. Stratford out shot Kitchener 19-18. The Warriors will now face London (White) in the Alliance constellation semi-final.
