Warriors 2 - London Gold 2
The Stratford Scotiabank AA Major PeeWee's continued their impressive improvement with a 2-2 tie against London Gold, who sported at 24-2-2 record.
The Bankers dedication to defence, hustle and team play saw the home side thoroughly outplay the league leaders. London capitalized on their limited chances and were leading 1-0 when Colton Fountain buried a James Wilson rebound just after a London penalty expired. London responded with a nice goal to lead late in game until Shaun Pickering scored with 1.5 seconds left and the extra attacker on the ice. Evan James drew an assist.
Stratford held a decided edge in play and goalie Ben Merkel made a great save late in the game to allow his team to tie the game. Jaren Ball and callup Isiah Duiker confidently anchored the defence.
