T2 Neumeister Novice Warriors Fall 4-3
On Sunday the T2 Neumeister Novice Warriors played host to the Top Seeded Oakridge Aeros.
Stratford took an early First period lead when Cole Lewis scored. Brody Jeffery and Zach McCann assisted on the goal. Oakridge tied it up late in the first.
Stratford again went ahead early in the second when a streaking Hudson Flood took a perfect pass from Zach Schooley and fired it past the Oakridge goalie. Oakridge replied late in the 2nd with 2 goals to take the lead 3-2.
To start the third Colten Cowen made a nice play straight off the faceoff, skated in and tied the game up at 3's. The remainder of the period saw both teams trade scoring chances, and saw brilliant goaltending on both sides. The defensive pairing of Michael Tigani and Matthew Trachsel kept the Warriors in it. Late in the third Oakridge managed to put 1 by the Stratford keeper to take a 4-3 lead. The Warriors fought hard but came up short.
