Minor Atoms Down Woodstock
The Stratford Holloway Automotive Minor Atoms kept on
rolling Wednesday night in Woodstock with a 6-1 victory. Adam Windsor opened the scoring cashing in on
a rebound from Scotty Thornton and Kaden Eybergen. After Woodstock answered
back with a goal, Mitchell LaFay blew past the defence and picked the corner
from Adam Monteith to put the Warriors ahead to stay.
Minutes later, Windsor was rewarded for going to the net hard when he potted his second rebound goal of the game from Cohen Lesouder and Noah Rusen-Steele. LaFay fired his second of the game to open the third on a nice feed from Aly McLeod and Monteith. McLeod then scored one of her own from Mathew Whittemore and Monteith notched the capper on a hard net drive with assists to Tyler Pogson and LaFay. Good hard backchecking was displayed by Scotty Thornton and Riley Mathieson while Cohen Lesouder and Alex Cassone battled hard on the blue line in front of Hardy Westman who was focused and steady all night.
