The Atom’s were down in the series and need to win out to keep the series alive.
Stratford with 3 points in the series faced the Cambridge Hawks with 7 points at the Dufferin arena on Thursday night.
At the end of regulation, the game was tied 1-1 and Stratford went into OT shorthanded.
With 2:26 remaining on the clock, David Shantz scored his second goal of the night (unassisted) to get the Warriors the victory.
Liam McCann was amazing in net, and Stratford’s assist came from Tyler Lingard.
The Warriors travel to the Galt arena for a 7pm game on Friday with hopes of returning to Stratford on Saturday.
