Written by: Bill Boon The Stratford Dunny’s Source for Sports Atom MD Warriors travelled to Oakridge on Monday night and came away with a 4-2 win. The Warriors fell behind 1-0 early in the first period, but tied the game on a solo marker from Jake Emerson. Stratford took the lead in the second period on a shorthanded goal by Kolton Debus with Josh Smith picking up the assist. The Warriors came out flying in the third period and took a two goal lead with Jake Emerson picking up his second goal of the game on a tap in from a great defensive play by defenseman Josh Bossence, who kept the puck in the Oakridge end and took the puck to the net.
Dominic Boon added an insurance goal late in the third period on a pass from linemate Andrew Ivey. Reece Houghton had a strong game at both ends of the ice for the Warriors.
