Warriors Down Navy Vets
The Stratford Scotiabank Peewee Warriors returned to league
play Saturday after a successful weekend in Detroit at the Motown Cup.
Stratford’s first game was against the Woodstock Jr. Navy Vets, and it was a
hard fought contest. Woodstock came out hard and battled Stratford physically
in the first period, but it was the Warriors who gained momentum as the game
wore on and ultimately ended the game with a 4-2 victory. Danny Pacheco was
excellent in goal keeping Stratford in
the game early as they struggled to find their legs after returning to
league play. Goal scorers in the game were Zach Otto, Brayden Carnegie, Haydn
Shantz, and Ethan Hill with assists going to Hill (2), Andrew Maguire and
Carnegie.
