Warriors win 3-0 as Robinson Blanks Cambridge
Stratford Motor Products Minor Midgets opened up their Bristol playdown semi-final series Friday night with a 3-0 win over Cambridge. Darren Robinson stole the show by kicking out 31 shots to claim the shut out for the Tribe. Brandan Willis opened the scoring at 4:40 of the first period assisted by Josh Hill and Liam Kelly. Hill followed up with one himself, unassisted at 10:52 of the second period. Evan Metelski's power play marker at 2:29 of the 3rd. on an assist from Zach Ernest put the Warriors up 3-0. Cambridge outshot the Warriors 31-24 and while Robinson blanked the Hawks, Blair Wickett managed to stop 21 of the 24 fired at him by Stratford. The two teams go back at it Saturday night 6:30 at the Allman Arena.
