HOLLOWAY MINOR ATOM REP WIN NEWMARKET TOURNAMENT!!!

SUBMITTED BY ROB FITZGERALD
Holloway Automotive Warriors kicked off the 63rd annual 'A' tournament with a 13-1 win over the Don Mills Mustangs. 9 different players lit up the score board.Ewen Parsons letting in only 1 goal.
Saturday,Warriors then took on Richmond Hill, beating them 5-1 with 4 goals by Cole Lewis,1 goal from Ethan Scrimgeour, 2 assists from Hudson Flood, and a very unselfish assist from Jacob Hall.We had very strong defensive play from Issac Deline and Sam Bolger. Owen Davey being very strong between the pipes.
Warriors suffered their only loss to the Cobourg Cougars 2-1 with a goal by Nole Musselman assisted by Zach McCann.
Sunday, Warriors went to the semi finals against the Waterloo Wolves, with a start we didn't want, going down 2-0 in the first. But that didn't get us down.Warriors fought back, pressing hard, getting chances but the Wolves goaltending kept them out until Lewis fired one in on an intense shift ,assisted by McCann and Langlands. We kept on fighting to tie it up but the puck still wasn't going in.We pulled the goalie with less than 2 min left,Lewis,McCann,Langlands,Hall,McIntosh and Scott pressing hard, fighting in the corner. They were getting chances but nothing went in.We thought we were done when Connor McIntosh fired the puck at the net from the point ,Lewis taking a shot, then finally Hall flew in and blasted it in with 0.7 sec left on the clock!
We made it to OT with no goals scored. We went to a shoot out.
Waterloo shot first, with Owen Davey making the first save.Lewis shot first for Stratford with a goal,Waterloo then getting one back.Hall then does a fake and deaks out the goalie .Waterloo missed their next shot. Off to the championship we go!!!!
Warriors then faced the Nepean Raiders.Stratford came out on fire from the start with a wrist shot from Danny Scott to the top corner. A few shifts later Scott gave a sweet pass over to Lewis who fired in the Warriors second goal. Scrimgeour then taking one around back and stuffing it in, assisted by Peter McIntosh. Our 4th goal coming from a very exciting shift when Flood fired one in with assists to Lewis and Musselman. Owen Davey once again standing in his head with the shutout in our 4-0 victory, winning the 'A' div.
STRONG PLAY FROM THE WHOLE TEAM ALL WEEKEND....CONGRATULATIONS WARRIORS!!!
