Stratford Minor Bantam Rep Warriors Win Waterloo Memorial Tournament
The Stratford Minor Bantam Rep Warriors went 5-1 to win the Waterloo Memorial Tournament. They defeated the Hespeler Shamrocks 8-0, then lost a close one 6-5 to the Humberview Huskies, but battled back to defeat the Milton Winterhawks 5-2 and the St. Catherines Warriors 5-0 in the round robin. Their strong goals for percentage was good enough advance. The Warriors then came back from a 2-0 deficit in the semifinals to defeat the host Waterloo Wolves Gold team 3-2 in overtime. They then came back from a 2-1 deficit in the finals to win 5-2 and the championship against the Woodstock Navy Vets. The coaching staff is extremely proud of the effort the boys showed.
