All Equip Major Peewee MD Warriors went undefeated at the Woolwich Wildcat weekend Tournament to become the PeeWee AE champs.
In the first game, the Warriors defeated the Woolwich Wildcats Red 3 - 1 lead by strong goal tending from Cieran Diebolt. Goal scorers were Tyler Gould, Connor Hill and Matthew Whittemore. Assists to Jacob Cressman, Gabe Plain, Scotty Thornton and Tyler Guy. The second game, the Warriors defeated the Oro Thunder 5 - 3. The Warriors fell behind 3 - 0 in the first period. The Warriors took the battle into their own hands and answered with 5 goals to earn themselves a by to the Semifinals. Goals scored by Braeden White, Thornton (2), Alex Dingwell and Hill. Assists to Guy (2), Whittemore, Plain, Dingwell, Andrew Barber and Owen Chartrand. In the semifinals, the Warriors defeated the Merritton Bulldogs 9 - 2. Goals from Dingwell (3), Guy (2), Cressman, Thornton and Sabastian Minifie (2). Assists to White (3), Hill (2), Cressman and Mitchell Ground.
In the final game, the Warriors faced off against the Woolwich Wildcats Blue. The boys were pumped for the game and answered with the first goal by White on a great pass from Hill. The second goal was scored by Minifie assisted by Thornton. On the power play, the boys executed great passing with a skate pass from Whittemore to White, who found Hill in front of the net to bulge the twine. More great passing from Dingwell to Guy for the fourth goal of the game. Strong goal tending by Ezra Lee ensured a 4 - 1 victory for the Warriors. Tournament MVP for the Warriors was Braeden White.
