Stratford Motor Products Minor Midget Warriors continued
their strong play going 2-0-1 in recent games.
An understaffed Warrior team defeated the Waterloo Wolves 3-2 with Clayton Lewis firing all three goals for Stratford. Nathan Hall, Noah Kuno and Michael Cossey drew assists. With both goalies out...the Warriors called upon under age tender Owen Hahn to start and he provided a great performance in helping secure the win.
Next game was a match up between the top two teams in the Alliance with a game on the road against the London Knights. After three periods the exciting game ended in a 3-3 tie. Tanner Johnson scored twice and Kuno added a single to pace the attack. Mitchell Casey had three assists with singles going to Brett Denny, Kuno and Johnson.
Stratford defeated Hamilton 4-2 to close out the weekend at home to solidify their hold on second place. Scorers were Dalton Smith, Hall, Kuno and Casey. Lewis had two assists with singles going to Dillon Weinheimer, Logan Bell, Smith, Kuno , Johnson, Casey and Cossey.
