Good Start to 2016
The Stratford Holloway Automotive Minor Atoms earned 3 of 4 points over the week-end. On Saturday they travelled to Brantford and came away with a 5-5 tie. After falling behind 2-0 early in the first, Beckham McLeod got Stratford on the board by scoring on a penalty shot. The teams continued to battle back and forth for the rest of the game. Kaleb Martin, Quinn Appel, and Mark Pyzowski each had a goal, while McLeod notched a second. Ryan Haines and Marek Carter each had two assists, and Brett Knechtel, Andrew Leitch, and Ethan Plotnik each had one.
On Sunday the team hosted Burlington Bulldogs White and it was a team effort that contributed to an 8-2 vicotry. Pyzowski and Haines each had 2 goals and 2 assists, Appel had 1 goal and 3 assists, Knechtel had 1 goal and 2 assists, Carter and Nathaniel Smith each had 1 goal. Nathan Gibb had 2 assists while Noah Roth and McLeod had 1.
