Started From the Bottom, Now We're Here.....
Submitted By Kelly McCann on Sat 03 19, 16
While they weren’t at the very bottom, this team did find themselves sitting in 6th place of their division prior to playoffs, having to face third placed Waterloo Wolves in their first round.  But what can I say, these kids are perpetually known to pick up their game in playoffs and obviously were not ready for their hockey season to be over just yet.

They stretched that first series out to 6 very intense games before moving on to the semi-finals, beating out 1st placed London Mustangs White in 3 straight games, and finally meeting fifth place Cambridge Hawks in the Alliance finals only to sweep that series as well in 4 straight games.

For the players, coaches (and of course the fans!), seeing the things practiced diligently all year long finally clicking and working for them in playoffs was satisfying.  This team that is typically selected from a very small group of potential players each spring may seem an unlikely champion when you see them hit the ice in September, but this season they once again proved, no one should ever count them out!

Congrats on a great year guys!
