Finals tied after busy weekend
Written by Dave Graff.  The SMHA Scotiabank Major Peewee Rep team began the Alliance Bristol Championship series with the London Mustangs over the weekend, playing three games in three days and registering a tie, a win and a loss.

Friday in game one in London Minor Peewee call ups Jacob Hall and Cole Lewis scored goals, both giving the Warriors a one goal lead only to see the Mustangs tie the game each time. Overtime solved nothing, the opener ending in a 2-2 tie. Carter Musselman assisted on both goals while Hall, and Maverick Mulder had one assist each.

Game two Saturday in Stratford saw the home team outshoot London 28-11 and tally both a power play and shorthanded goal in a 5-3 victory. Carter Musselman scored the first two warrior goals, one on the power play while Sydnie Miller also scored twice including a great individual effort while shorthanded while her second goal early in the third turned out to be the winning goal. Zach Carman added an insurance marker later in the third for Stratford.  Carman added two assists while Nathan Graff, Caleb Musselman, Calaen Trupp and Jack Whitehead added one each.

Sunday also in Stratford the Warriors continued to outplay and out shoot London but the Mustangs made the most of their chances, scoring two power play goals and an empty netter in a 5-2 victory. Carter and Caleb Musselman each had a goal and an assist for Straford while Whitehead added one helper.

The six point series stands tied at three points a piece with game four going Thursday night in London and game five back in Stratford Saturday at 5:30 at the Rec Centre.
