Jared LeSouder scored twice as the Stratford Canadian Tire Major Bantam Warriors started off the new year just as they finished 2016, with a victory, this time a 4-2 win over the Kitchener Rangers.
Two of the four goals were power play markers for Warriors, who only have one regular season loss since mid November. Kayden Schooley and Callum McMann were the other Stratford goal scorers, with Cohen LeSouder picking up a pair of assists. Individual assists went to Riley Mathieson, Callan Ferguson, Connor Hill, Alex Cassone, Noah Rusen Steele and McMann.
Goaltender Kari Dingman was solid in the net, turning away three breakaways for the visitors.
