Game 1/Game 2 - Bristol Playdown Quarter Finals
The Stratford Canadian Tire Major Bantam Warriors kicked off the 2016/17 Alliance Bristol playoffs this past weekend with a pair of shutout wins over the Sarnia Jr. Sting. Stratford leads the six point quarter final series 4-0, after convincing 6-0 and 3-0 wins.

Saturday night in Stratford, the Warriors started things off on the right foot, hammering the visiting Sting 6-0 at the RBC Arena and jumping out to a quick series lead. Jared LeSouder led things offensively for Stratford, with four assists. Ben Wyatt, Jacob Wiles, Josiah Kraayenbrink, Noah Rusen Steele, and Kayden Schooley with two, were the Warrior goal scores. Cohen LeSouder had two assists, while Connor Hill, Callan Ferguson, Tate Gaylor, Rusen Steele and Wyatt had singles. Carson Knott picked up his second consecutive shutout in the win.

The Warriors travelled down the 402 Sunday for a late matinee against the hometown Sting, and continued to stymie the Sarnia offence, this time with a 3-0 win. Kari Dingman picked up the goose egg with Schooley, Wiles and Jared LeSouder notching one goal apiece for the Warrior, who have a 4 points to none choke hold on the series. Gaylor picked up his second assist of the weekend as well.

Of the 9 goals scored over the weekend, 5 were on the lethal Stratford power play, which was clicking on all cylinders. Stratford can wrap things up in game three, which will be played at 8:00 pm at the RBC Arena Thursday night in Stratford.
