Champions Of The International Silver Stick Qualifier
Over the Christmas holidays the Major Midget Jr Warriors played in the International Silver Stick Tournament held in Stratford and came out Champions!!


Going 5 for 5..... The Jr. Warriors won their first game 3-2 against the Hamilton Huskies. Goals came from Jacob Taylor, Sean Chisholm and Zach Ribeiro. Assists to Nathan Hall, Brett Denny and Eric Rolph. Great defensive play by Aaron Skinner and Keegan Wilkins. Jackson Dewar made some key saves to secure the win.
The second round robin game was a solid 5-0 win over the Niagara Fall Flyers. Stratford goals were scored by five different players, Mitchell Casey, Max Hall, Taylor, Nathan Hall, and Parker Gibbings. Assists came from Ribeiro, Denny, Casey, Rolph, Chisholm and Dean Simons. Zach Weber with the shout out.
The final round robin game sent the Jr. Warriors to the semi finals with a 7-2 win. Taking advantage of the power plays against the Chatham-Kent Cobras, Stratford got a pair of goals from both Simons and Brandon Williams, single markers from Chisholm, Denny, and Max Hall.  Assists to Ribeiro (2), Chisholm (2), Wilkins, Denny, and Taylor. Jackson Dewar was between the pipes.
The semi final game was a hard fought game against the Chatham-Kent Cobras. Coming away with a 4-2 win, saw the Stratford Jr. Warriors heading to the finals! Goals were from Ribeiro with 2, and singles for Gibbings and Eric Vander Eyk (Minor Midget call up) finished the scoring with an empty net goal.  Assists going to Casey,       Vander Eyk, Rolph, Max Hall, Dean Jackson and Tyson Hall (Minor Midget call up). Jackson Dewar played great in net for the win.
The final was an exciting game played against the Hamilton Huskies. These teams have seen a lot of each other in regular season play, going back and fourth with the win. But for the second time in this tournament Stratford was able to come out on top, which qualified them for International Silver Stick finals being held in Sarnia. Call up Vander Eyk had two goals, one being the winner and Gibbings with the other. Assists to Max Hall (2), Brett Maguire (Minor Midget call up), Chisholm, Denny and Ribeiro. Zach Weber played amazing in net stopping many great chances for Hamilton.
This was a very exciting Silver Stick for Stratford. It's clear to say The Stratford Jr. Warriors Major Midgets PLAY and WIN as a team. They represent Stratford proudly ON and OFF the ice.
