St. Thomas Tourny Semi Finalists
The Evoke Marketing Tier I Warriors took part in the St. Thomas Boston Pizza Cup October 12-14 and finished as semifinalists.

A 3-2 loss to the Southpoint Capitals in the opening game was the only blemish on the Warriors' pool play record. Mac Munro got the start and was busy making several good stops. Jason Adair set up Ethan Bridges to open the scoring on the power play in the first. Luke Hishon made it 2-1 late in the second with an assist to Ethan Schmidt. Unfortunately Southpoint gained momentum with a wrap around early in the third and another goal 30 seconds later. The boys couldn't find the equalizer.

In game two versus Niagara Falls Malaika Kibedi got the start. The offense was on fire with all forwards recording at least one point. The defense pairings of Ryan Watling/Liam Micks, Nick McGill/Ryder Duchesne and Nate Meadows/Alexander Erb turned in a great game, limiting the chances as the Warriors skated to lopsided  14-1 win.

In game three the Warriors faced St. Thomas and walked away with a 5-1 victory. Caleb Hurley opened the scoring with assists to Colton Campbell and Ethan Schmidt. St. Thomas tied it minutes later and then Stratford got goals from Hishon (Schmidt), Bridges, Parker Glitz (Campbell/Owen Martin) and Martin (Cohen Bowles) to win 5-1. Munro made several good saves and defense held the blue line well.

In game four Kibedi was in net for a 8-1 win over the West London Hawks which secured the Warriors a spot in the semi-finals.  Bridges opened the scoring (from Bowles) and Glitz made it 2-0 after the feed from Campbell & Martin. Bridges rifled his second and then Campbell scored a beautiful backhand to make it 4-0 after the first. Hurley made it 5-0 and then Schmidt flipped in a setup from Hishon and Hurley. Unfortunately one slipped by Kibedi to make it 6-1 midway through the second. Schmidt found Hurley early in the third to pad the lead before d-man Nate Meadows pinched in to pot one more.

In the semifinals, Munro was busy from the start as the North London Nationals were the opponents. North London took a 1-0 lead early and then Hishon converted on a pass from Schmidt but that's as close as the Warriors could get as the Nationals walked away with a 5-1 victory. The Nationals went on to win the tournament against Southpoint.

The Warriors are back in regular season action against as they head to West London October 20 and they host Oakridge October 21 at the Allman at 1 p.m.
