On the weekend the Evoke Marketing Tier I Warriors turned in one of their best games of the season.
The Warriors took on the first place North London Nationals, December 15 and came home with a hard fought tie after fighting back from a 3-1 deficit. After tying it up the Warriors got a shorthanded tally from Colton Campbell but gave up a shorthanded marker when Munro was beaten high on a breakaway moments later. The Warriors also got goals from Cohen Bowles, Luke Hishon and Nick McGill. Campbell and Jason Adair picked up assists. The defense corps did a great job forcing them wide and limiting the chances. Mac Munro made some timely saves for the tie, especially late.
On Sunday, the Warriors hosted Sarnia. Unfortunately the Warriors came out flat and struggled to get the offense going. After an apparent Warriors' goal was disallowed, the Warriors gave up an odd man rush and Sarnia capitalized on the rebound. Malaika Kibedi made several good saves to keep it 1-0 after two as Sarnia kept the Warriors hemmed in. Sarnia added three in the third on route to a 4-0 victory.
