The Evoke Marketing Tier I Warriors were back in action January 26 and 27.
The Warriors took on the West London Hawks January 26 and dropped a 5-2 decision. After falling behind 1-0, Ethan Bridges fed Caleb Hurley and he found Jason Adair out front. Adair ripped a shot to knot it at one after the first period. Alex Erb set Hurley up late in the second and he found the back of the net for a 2-1 lead but it was short lived as the Hawks found a way to solve Mac Munro. Early in the third, the Hawks capitalized on a breakaway. They added another late after Munro made the first save. The Hawks rounded out the scoring with an empty netter.
On January 27, the Warriors hosted the Oakridge Aeros. After a scoreless first period, Oakridge took a 1-0 lead early in the second and then tipped a shot past Malaika Kibedi midway through the frame to take a 2-0. They held a three goal advantage after two. Early in the third, Colton Campbell's shot just missed the net and Hurley was there to tap it into the net. Minutes later Adair and Hurley found Parker Glitz out front and his one-timer dented the twine. Unfortunately that was as close as the Warriors could get and Oakridge sealed it with an empty netter.
The Warriors are back in action February 2 in Sarnia and February 3 when they host West London.
