U16 Warriors come up short over the weekend.
The U16 Warriors faced the Waterloo Wolves and London Jr. Knights White this past weekend.

Equipped with a short bench for the weekend, the Warriors travelled to Waterloo Saturday February 18 to take on the Wolves.  The home team struck first 45 seconds into the period, a failed clearing pass led to a 2 on 1 where Henry Tuer made a great first save but the rebound bounced right on a Waterloo stick and was sent past the line.  Eager to atone for the misstep, the Warriors won the ensuing faceoff, Griffin McGregor whipped it back to Rylan Hall who found Colin Schultz down low to even the score at 1-1.  The Warriors had a few power play opportunities late in the period but couldn't capitalize, leaving the score tied at the first intermission.  The second period the Wolves took advantage of a turnover and pushed home another goal to lead 2-1.  The rest of the period was a back and forth affair that saw the Warriors kill off three penalties and ring a post.  2-1 Waterloo at the second intermission.  Both teams came out with a bit more fire after the flood but it was Waterloo that would tally again, going up 3-1.  Stratford would muster a few good chances late but the Waterloo goalie stood tall.  Final score Waterloo 3, Stratford 1.

Sunday afternoon the London Jr. Knights White were at the Allman Arena looking to avenge a home loss to the Warriors earlier this month.  Brody Borszcz turned away the few quality chances the Knights had in the first period and kept them off the board.  Stratford peppered the London keeper throughout the period but couldn't put one past leaving the period scoreless.  The second period saw the visitors strike twice in the first 5 minutes and held the Warrior shooters to only a handful of shots.  2-0 London after two periods.  Stratford pressed hard in the third earning two early power plays but couldn't put one home.  With just under 6 minutes remaining the home team would finally tally, Liam Ollson batting home a rebound off of AP Rowan Bartlett's shot from the point.  Another late power play and some great puck possession kept their hopes alive until about a minute remaining when London potted their third of the game to seal it.  Final score London 3, Stratford 1.
