4-3 Victory over Waterloo in League Play
A four-point night by Michael Messerschmidt lifted the Stratford Perth Auto Dismantlers to a 4-3 victory over Waterloo in Atom AA action last evening. Messerschmidt potted two goals and two assists, with one goal coming off a superb shorthanded effort. Not to be outdone, line mate Haydn Shantz also netted a pair with one coming shorthanded as well. Brett Stelmachuk and Zach Otto used their speed all night to keep the pressure on the Waterloo defenders. Tyler Parr provided some timely and acrobatic saves to keep Waterloo in check, supported by good defensive play from Dean Simons, Malcolm Mcleod and Eric Gibb. It was a sweet victory for the team who rebounded from a poor showing this past weekend in tournament play. more...
Marksmen on the weekend included Dean Jackson with two and singles going to Shantz and Mcleod.
