Atom MD Warriors fall 7-2
Stratford Dunny's Source For Sports Atom MD Warriors dropped their opening game of the season 7-2 in London on Wednesday night.
Stratford opened the scoring when Jake Gansevles took a passing attempt from Tim Wickenheiser and beat the London goalie. But London took the play to the Warriors and finished the first period with a 5-1 lead.
Stratford found their stride and held a strong London team to very few chances in the second and third and cashed in when Jordy Tessmer took his own rebound and found the back of the net. London responded with two of their own to close the scoring.
Sam Wyatt and Aaron Skinner played strong games defensively while Quinn LeSouder and Danny Pacheco made some key saves while sharing the goal-tending duties.
