The Stratford Scotiabank Major PeeWee AA’s finished their Constellation league play with a 5-3 loss to Brantford.
The Bankers struck early with Colton Fountain wiring a boomer 21 seconds into the game. Shaun Pickering put Stratford up by shortly thereafter.
Brantford capitalized on three powerplay chances to eventually lead 5-2 in the third period.
Stratford continued to press and with 5 minutes left Evan James scored on an end to end rush finished with a tremendous deke. The team battled through a tough game and remained committed until the final buzzer. Andy Brickman, playing one of his finest games of the year, contributed two assists with singles to Fountain, Pickering and Riley Walsh.
The team plays Burlington in a best three of five series to open Alliance Playdowns.
