Holloway Automotive Minor Atoms Bounce Back
The Holloway Automotive Warriors took to the road for a couple of games last week. On Thursday the team travelled to London where they faced a speedy Oakridge team. In a fast paced match, the Warriors were unable to skate with the Aeros suffering a 4-0 loss.

On Saturday the Warriors travelled to Brantford for a rematch at the Wayne Gretzky Centre. Brantford was up to the challenge this time as they downed Stratford 4-2. Brantford took a 3-0 lead into the second before Stratford got on the board with one from Noah Rusen-Steele assisted by Aly McLeod. Brantford answered with one of their own before Callan Ferguson notched an unassisted marker to close the gap. Brantford’s goalie shut the door as Stratford was unable to capitalize on powerplay opportunities in the third. Hardy Westman played well in net with Riley Mathieson and Cohen LeSouder having a strong defensive game.

The Warriors returned to home ice on Sunday to face Woodstock. After back to back losses, Stratford put together a strong team performance, taking advantage of a depleted Woodstock line-up. Eleven players racked up points in the 8-1 victory. Callan Ferguson started things off in the first with a howitzer from the high slot off an Adam Windsor feed. Woodstock got on the board late in the first, but Aly McLeod responded within seconds on a pass from Matthew Whittemore to spoil any momentum. It was all Stratford from there as goal scorers included; Jared LeSouder(2), Adam Windsor(2), Noah Rusen-Steele and Adam Monteith. Important assists went to Kaden Eybergen(3), Cohen LeSouder, Mitch LaFay, Scott Thornton, McLeod and Whittemore. Ryan Bell deserved the shutout making saves when called upon. Tyler Pogson and Alex Cassone were solid on the blue line with Matthew Whittemore and Kaden Eybergen working hard every shift up front.
