Holloway Automotive Take Two on the Road
The Stratford Minor Atoms put together two solid games on the road this weekend. The victories move the Warriors into a tie for first in the Bristol ‘A’ division heading into the Christmas break.

On Friday the Warriors travelled to St. Thomas where they defeated the Junior Stars 4-2. Missing two players, the defence logged extra minutes and were solid throughout the contest. Adam Monteith led the way up front with two goals and one helper. Mitchell LaFay also contributed with a goal and an assist. Jared LeSouder pitched in with two assists and Adam Windsor topped it off with an unassisted marker. Hardy Westman made a huge save on a penalty shot to give the team momentum to ensure the win.

On Sunday the Warriors travelled to Brantford for the third game of the season series. With both teams each having a victory on home ice, this was a big game for the club. With everyone back in the line-up, Stratford was too much to handle as they edged the 99ers 3-1. Another solid defensive effort resulted in few shots on goaltender Ryan Bell who was solid between the pipes, controlling rebounds well. Noah Rusen Steele bulged the twine twice with assists from Aly McLeod and Tyler Pogson. Mitchell LaFay also notched one off a Pogson pass. Puck movement and teamwork highlighted the victory.
