The Stratford Dunny’s Source for Sports Atom MD Warriors travelled to Sarnia on Saturday and were defeated 4-1. Warrior goalie Patrick McIsaac stood tall in the first period with his team being outshot 9-1 and being behind 1-0. Stratford found their legs and controlled the second period, but couldn’t find the back of the net, despite having several good scoring opportunities. Austin Taylor evened the score in the third period with Dominic Boon and Josh Smith picking up the assists. The line of Boon, Taylor and Smith kept pressure on the Sarnia goalie, but couldn’t find the back of the net. Sarnia scored three unanswered goals late in the third period to skate away with the win, despite being outshot19-18 in the game.
