The Stratford Hiller Realty Minor PeeWees produced a strong effort on Sunday evening against the Woodstock Jr. Navy Vets. It was their first game in a week and Stratford scored the first goal of the game on the second shift and never looked back.
A strong team game, and good discipline resulted in a lopsided 8-2 victory for the Warriors. Mitchell Watt was good in net and the team in front protected the lead all game. For the second game in the last three Michael Messerschmidt lit the lamp four times, Sean Chisholm added a goal and two assists, Dean Jackson had two goals, and Haydn Shantz added a goal and an assist for the Warriors. Aaron Skinner, Dean Simons, Brett Stelmachuk and Josh McNaughton added single assists in the win as well. The Warriors return to practice on Wednesday evening this week, before playing their final two games before the holidays.
