Game Report March 15
The Scotiabank Major Peewee Rep Warriors took a 1-0 lead in
their
Alliance league finals with a 2-1 win over the visiting London Bandits.
Stratford came out flying in the first period winning all of the puck battles, and was rewarded just over the halfway mark when Jarrett Baker converted on a Clayton Lewis pass. Nathan Hall also assisted. Less than a minute later Brody Hunt circled to the top of the slot and blasted the eventual game winner with Minkyu Yang assisting. The game then settled into exciting end to end action with several good chances for both teams. After scoring five minutes into the third, London pulled their goalie with 1:20 left, but strong play in the defensive zone preserved the win for the Warriors. Justin Hergott was sharp in net for the win. The next home game is Saturday at 5:30 at the Allman.
