Best Western The Parlour Historic Inn and Suites PeeWee MD Warriors off to Strong Start
While hard to believe, we are 1/3rd of the way through the regular season, having completed 8 games of our scheduled 24. Sporting a 5-1-2 record, the team is currently holding on to top spot in the division, in what appears to be a very tightly bunched group of teams.

After losing the season opener 4-2 to Oakridge, the boys have tightened up their play and have gone 7 games without a loss. Having now played the other 6 teams in the Division, it is safe to say that the season will be hard-fought, game in, game out.

Scores so far include:

October 3rd - 4-2 loss @ Oakridge Aeros
October 5th - 4-0 win vs London Bandits Black
October 8th - 3-2 win vs. West London
October 10th - 2-2 tie @ London Bandits Orange
October 12th - 3-2 win vs North London
October 19th - 4-3 win vs Oakridge Aeros
October 22nd - 6-1 win vs Sarnia
October 26th - 1-1 tie @ London Bandits Black

Like any team at the beginning of a season, it takes time to gel. With 2 boys joining the team from Rotary - Jack Ratz and Jacob McPherson – and Carson Dunseith re-joining the team, new roles and responsibilities have abound. All 5-player units are playing well, with goaltenders Jacob Ford and Jeremy Wickenheiser playing strong between the pipes, sporting a Goals Against Average of under 2.

As the team enters the next 1/3rd of the season, emphasis will be placed on strengthening the power-play and penalty kill, while continuing to focus on strong defensive zone play. Offensively, the goal will be to become more aggressive on the fore-check.
