1st loss in 16 games for Minor Bantams
Despite a solid goal tending performance by Braydon McCann, the Stratford Cherrey Bus Lines Minor Bantams were defeated 3-2 in overtime vs the London bandits, in their first game of a 6 points series in Bristol A Alliance hockey playoff action.
McCann stopped 26 of 29 shots faced including several in tight shots. Tim Clay got Stratford on the board in the first with assists going to Spencer Dowd and Luke Goris. Shaun Pickering put Stratford up 2-1 late in the second period with Dalton Carde and Colton Fountain earning assists. Stratford could not hold the lead as London scored mid way through the third period to tie the game, and scored with 42 seconds left in overtime for the win. Game 2 is in London on Saturday.
