Third Win vs. Oakridge
Stratford Crabby Joe’s Minor Bantam MD Warriors played a solid game in defeating the Oakridge Aeros 3-1 on Tuesday night. After a scoreless first period, Kalyb McComb put the Warriors ahead on a rebound goal off a great wrist shot by Leam Hughes. Matthieu Carman started the play with a good break pass from the defensive zone. James Drake put the Warriors ahead by two goals with assists going to Wesley Keutsch and Trey Uniac. Oakridge made the game close by breaking Stratford’s shutout bid early in the third period.
However, Drake sealed the win with an unassisted goal minutes later. Leam Hughes, Blake Keen and Sam Knechtel all showed tremendous hustle at forward. Noah Redfern-Lount was again outstanding in goal and stopped any serious pressure that Oakridge was able to mount.
