Warriors in upcoming Semi-finals Series
Playing four games in six days, the Stratford Nes-Tech Minor Peewee MD Warriors closed out the round robin portion of their playoffs with a 5-3-2 record, good enough to earn them a spot in the Alliance West semi finals.

Last Thursday in West London, the fourth place Hawks outworked Stratford and upset the Warriors 2-1.  Stratford's lone goal was scored by Ryan Lott with Josh Smith assisting.

Saturday in Sarnia, Stratford bounced back with a 3-3 tie against the Sarnia Jr. Sting.  Stratford led 3-1 with four minutes remaining in the game, only to see Sarnia tie it up late.  Marcus Nicholson and Andrew Ivey scored for the Warriors, as did Atom call up Gabe Plain.  Stratford had a short bench with several injuries, but hung on for the single point against the Sting, who lost just two games all season.

The two teams were right back at it Sunday morning in Stratford, but the injury bug and some tired legs caught up with the Warriors as they were blanked 2-0 by Sarnia, one of the goals was an empy netter with seconds left.  Paul Bennett made several key saves holding his team in the game.

The Warriors rounded out the ten game round robin last night at the Molson Arena, edging Oakridge 3-1.  Austin Taylor scored twice, while Jake Emerson scored into the empty net with the goalie out for the extra attacker.  Kobe Robinson picked up an assist.

Stratford now waits to see who their next opponent will be in a two out of three semi-final series.
