A late goal, with 33 seconds remaining, wrestled victory and a series win from the Stratford Nes-Tech Minor Peewee MD Warriors, as they tied the London Nationals 2-2 in the four point West Division semi final Tuesday night at the Molson Arena.
Stratford now leads the series 3-1, with game three Wednesday night in London.
The Warriors trailed 1-0 going into the third, but Atom call up Scott Thornton scored early in the frame, bringing Stratford even. Austin Taylor assisted. Late in the third, Kolton Debus put Stratford ahead 2-1, with assists going to Andrew Ivey and Kobe Robinson.
Both teams created little offence in the five minute sudden death overtime in earning the tie.
