Stratford Scotiabank Pee Wee Warriors Showed their support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month by wearing bright pink laces in their skates and pink tape on their sticks. (see team Photo Gallery)
On Saturday, the PeeWees hosted the Burlington Bulldogs at the Allman and had a very strong showing defeating them 9-0.
The Warriors capitalized on Burlington penalties scoring 4 powerplay goals. Michael Messerschmidt lead the squad with 4 goals. Brayden Carnegie had two with singles scored by Sam Wyatt and Rienk VanderPloeg. Assisting on the goals were Rink VanderPloeg, Dean Jackson, Eric Gibb and Max Hall all with three. Max Britton and Sam Wyatt also each had a helper.
Danny Pacheco earned the shut out with a strong effort in net.
On Sunday the Warriors fell to first place London Knights Gold team losing 8-1. The lone goal for the Warriors was a well placed penalty shot by Michael Messerschmidt.
