Strong Team Effort Leads to Victory over Kitchener (Red)
It was an excellent game for the Stratford Scotiabank Peewee Warriors to make a statement Monday night- their third consecutive game and against a very skilled opponent- and the team did just that.

A somewhat slow start allowed the Jr. Rangers to take an early 1-0 lead by the end of the first period. An excellent penalty kill and powerplay combined with timely scoring from the Warriors allowed the team to score 3 unanswered in the middle frame grabbing a 3-1 lead. The lead was all the Warriors would need as the team collapsed defensively in their zone, limiting scoring chances and allowing Danny Pacheco to see the puck when shots did find their way through. Pacheco was great between the pipes and the Warriors gave a complete team effort, eventually adding an insurance marker with a few minutes left to play and sealing the game with a 4-2 victory. Goal scorers in the game were Max Britton, Michael Messerschmidt, Brayden Carnegie and Dean Jackson, with assists added by Gibb, Carnegie, Hanson, VanderPloeg and Maguire. The Warriors have now won four consecutive league games and look to finish out the first half of the season strong, with one game remaining against Kitchener Jr. Rangers (Blue).
