Robinson superb in net, despite Warriors 3-2 loss.
Stratford Motor Products Minor Midgets lost 3-2 in overtime in Waterloo on Saturday night in the opening game of the semi-final playoffs. Despite the superb goaltending of Darren Robinson in kicking out 37 shots, the final one with 2.5 seconds left in the overtime frame gave Waterloo the win. Brady Lauze scored at 10:44 of the first period, assisted by Evan Metelski. Zac Housworth's goal came with 1:43 remaining in the second on a pass from Josh Hill, that gave the Warriors a 2-1 lead. Waterloo scored a power play goal with 1:41 left in the third period to tie it at 2 each and sent the game into overtime. The next game in the series goes Tuesday night 9:00 p.m.at the Allman.
