Warriors Struggle With Sting
The Stratford Warriors battled the Sarnia Jr. Sting in Sarnia on the 24th of November, and then hosted them on the 28th. The Warriors lost the game in Sarnia by a final score of 7-2, and then lost 4-3 in Stratford.
In the first game, the Warriors played hard for the first period, but ran out of legs near the end. Wesley Keutsch and Matt Carman scored the two goals for Stratford, with Wes and James Drake picking up one assist each.
The game in Stratford was a better game for the Warriors. The Warriors started out slow, but as the game progressed, so did the the Warriors play. Trailing after two periods, and struggling to create any offense, the Warriors came out flying in the 3rd. Nicholas Ruttan started the charge with a goal assisted by Sam Knechtel. Call-up Connor Frankz scored the next goal, which was assisted by Drake. Knechtel scored the 3rd goal for the Warriors on an assist from Keutsch. Goalie Kayden Buck made several good saves to keep the score close.
