Sarnia and South Huron Round-Up
Last week, the Warriors played two road games and recorded a win and a loss.

On Monday, the Warriors traveled to Stephens Township for their final tune-up before the playoffs, finishing the tail end of a home-and-home exhibition series vs South Huron Sabres. In game one, the Warriors won by a 4-3 final despite giving up three goals in the third period. In game two and trailing early, the Warriors responded when Tyson Talsma netted his first of the season off a pass from Jonas Schmidt. Still in the first period, Dan Van Straaten scored off a wrist shot to notch the score at 2-2 heading into the second period. Jonas Schmidt scored the lone Warrior goal of the second period, sandwiched between two Sabre tallies. In the third, Schmidt added two more goals, making the final score 5-4 for the Warriors. Owen Holloway, Liam Hill, and Kaden Brame added two assists a piece, while Thomas Sheldon rounded out the scoring with an assist.

On Saturday, the Warriors traveled to Sarnia for their first playoff game. The Jr. Sting, who finished the regular season in last place, stunned the Warriors with a 3-1 victory. The lone Warrior goal came off a wicked wrist shot from Ethan Martin. The team closed out the game with the extra attacker on the ice, but a determined Jr. Sting team was able to walk the puck out of their end and seal the game with an empty net goal in the final seconds of the game.

This weekend, playoff action continues for the Warriors with two tough games against regular season champions West London Hawks followed by a Sunday showdown against second place finishers North London Nationals.
