Warriors Win the Battle with Brantford
Stratford Royal Lepage Hiller Realty Minor Peewee Warriors battled hard Sunday evening with the Branford 99'ers and were rewarded with 2 big points in the end.
The entire team showed up to compete hard and the line of Raymond Horan, Mason Petrie, and Kaden Eybergen set the tone early along with defense pairing Bryce Lee and Cohen Lesouder that this would be a playoff-like game. Goals were scored by Jared Lesouder (2), Adam Monteith (2) and Aly McLeod, while helpers went to Noah Rusen-Steele (2), Mitch LaFay (2), Cohen Lesouder, Adam Windsor, and McLeod.
Defensemen Josh Dowling, Tyler Pogson, Callum McMann and Alex Cassone followed the tone set by the starting pair playing physical but with discipline making it difficult for some slippery Brantford forwards to get quality scoring chances while Carson Knott shut the door when needed most to earn the win in goal.
The Warriors look to carry their momentum into Waterloo Saturday to face the first place Wolves.
