Warriors Win at Home - Even the Series at 1-1
Stratford Royal Lepage Hiller Realty Minor Peewee Warriors evened the Bristol Final series with the Hamilton Huskies at two points each winning 3-1 Sunday evening at Allman arena.

As with the day before, the Warriors came out flying playing the majority of the first period in the Hamilton zone but were unable to beat the pesky Huskies' goalie. Following a delay in the game due to an injured Warrior, Hamilton capitalized on a bouncing puck in the slot that ended up in the back of the net with 12:55 remaining in the second period.

The Warriors rallied as the second period went on and began to dominate play in the Huskies zone again. This time they were rewarded with the tying goal when Mitch LaFay won a puck battle down low and drove the net, with the rebound bouncing out to a hungry Kaden Eybergen who made no mistake putting it into the back of the net with 52 seconds left in the frame.

Five minutes into the third frame, Jared Lesouder took a feed from Aly McLeod down the left wing and broke deep into the zone and fired a high shot from a sharp angle that deflected into the back of the net...finally a well deserved bounce after hitting a post and a cross bar over the week end. Cohen Lesouder started the play from the Warrior's zone.

Then to make it 3-1 with 5:17 to play in the game, Josh Dowling won a battle to keep the puck deep in the Hamilton zone that Lesouder picked up and found McLeod alone in the high slot.  McLeod walked right down Broadway and fired a wrist shot over the goalie's glove for the insurance goal.

Stratford's entire defence corps battled hard and moved the puck up ice smartly all night in front of a strong performance by goalie Ryan Bell. Up front, Raymond Horan, Adam Windsor and Mason Petrie provided high energy on the forecheck throughout the game.
