Warriors Tripped Up By Sarnia
Stratford Royal Lepage Hiller Realty Minor Peewees lost a roller coaster ride like game 4-2 to the visiting Sarnia Jr Sting Sunday afternoon capping a three game run of hard luck losses.

Flying out of the gate the Warriors created three great scoring chances but failed to capitalize yet again, which came back to bite them in the end on this day.  Mitch LaFay opened the scoring picking up a puck at the Warrior's blue line and charging wide on the Sarnia defenseman and firing a low wrister by the goalie with two minutes left in the first period.  Assists went to Noah Rusen-Steele and Bryce Lee.

Sarnia scored two unanswered goals in the second frame but the momentum looked to be going back Stratford's way when Adam Windsor apparently tied the game but the officials believed that a high stick was in play and waived the goal off.  The officials disallowed a second goal shortly thereafter calling goaltender interference.

When Sarnia scored to take a two goal lead, it would have been easy for the Warriors to roll over and cry foul but they dug in and got within one when Jared Lesouder dragged the puck deep into the Sting zone on the powerplay and found Aly McLeod in the slot. She in turn fired a wrist shot over the goalie to keep her team in the game.

The Warriors pressed for the tying goal with two minutes to play but an unfortunate turnover lead to the fourth Sting goal which proved to be too much on this day. The Warriors will regroup and expect better fortune heading into the Bristol playdowns.
